For the past 20 years, my wife Melissa and I have owned and operated a small business right here in our district. During that time, we have had the privilege of teaching martial arts and leadership to thousands of children across Cary, Apex, and the surrounding community. Please visit my website. Apex and Cary Voting
Our work has never been just about kicks and punches. It has been about helping young people build character, confidence, discipline, respect, resilience, and the soft skills they will carry with them for life. Many parents have told us that our training played an important role in their child’s growth and success. That is a responsibility we have always taken seriously.
In addition to serving families through our local business, I have also worked as a Cybersecurity Engineer, helping protect critical healthcare, military, and government systems. I have been trusted with highly sensitive environments, held a Top Secret clearance, and passed a polygraph. Trust, accountability, and integrity are not campaign slogans to me. They have been requirements throughout my professional life.
District 21 is a beautifully diverse community made up of families from many backgrounds. Cary and Apex are home to people with different cultures, experiences, and viewpoints. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths.
Over the past two decades, we have developed a deep admiration for the Asian community in our district. Roughly 80% of the students in our martial arts school come from Asian families, and one thing we have learned clearly is this: no community should ever be treated as monolithic or used as a political talking point.
There is tremendous diversity among Asian residents in Cary and Apex — different cultures, different journeys, different languages, different beliefs, and different priorities. But many families also share powerful values: strong commitment to family, respect for teachers, dedication to education, personal responsibility, and an incredible work ethic. Those values have strengthened our school, our district, and our community.
My promise is simple: I will never reduce anyone to a political category.
I will listen to you. I will work for you. And I will focus on the issues that matter to families across District 21: lowering costs, protecting our children, strengthening public safety, supporting education, and restoring trust in government.
This election should be about trust, integrity, accountability, and shared values. I do not believe Representative Liu’s record reflects the values of District 21 or North Carolina. Her law license suspension, even though stayed under monitoring, is a serious matter for anyone asking the public for trust.
The people of Cary and Apex deserve a representative who does not need oversight. You deserve someone who has already served this community with transparency, consistency, and dedication for two decades.
I have worked hard for thousands of families in this district. I will work even harder for you in the North Carolina House.
Together, we can bring common sense, respect, accountability, and unity back to North Carolina.
