Independence Day Charity
Both Mr. Diaz and Mrs. Ashton received their care packages last week. Mr. Felix Diaz is a Sergeant First Class in the Army and Officer Ashton serves in the navy. They are both Tiger Rock Blackbelts in TaeKwonDo and are stationed in Afghanistan. There aren't really any stores nearby where they can buy supplies...And with the heat, sand, and other discomforts that come along with a deployment of this nature, many household items can be very useful to deployed soldiers. One of our fine instructors, Mrs. Sharron Scroggin organized this project and got the Johnson's Tiger Rock students involved collecting baby wipes, sun screen, magazines, crossword puzzles, books and more for our soldiers.
